The Tension Clamp is aerial fibre installation hardware used to grip and anchor cable at poles, walls and dead-end positions along an overhead route. The clamp holds the cable securely so that span tension is transferred to the supporting structure and the fibre inside the cable is not stressed. Tension clamps are used extensively in ADSS backbone routes and aerial FTTH drop installations, at every termination, corner and section break along the route. Using purpose-made clamps instead of improvised fixings helps prevent cable slippage, sagging and long-term attenuation problems. This item is normally supplied together with pole hardware, aerial cable and closure kits so that a route can be completed in one delivery.
