The LC Quad Single Mode Adapter is a fibre optic adapter, also referred to as a coupler, supplied by NETONIT TECH LTD for fibre termination and patching work. It provides an aligned mating point between two LC connectors and is normally fitted into fibre patch panels, optical distribution frames, fibre access terminals, wall boxes and closures so that spliced pigtails can be presented on the front of the panel for patching. The quad format determines how many fibre positions the adapter carries in a single panel opening, which affects the port density that can be achieved.
